About Us

The Clarenville Area Recreation Association(CARA) Summer Program is back and promises to be better than ever. CARA is fully committed to making the program more enjoyable for our youth. Our goal is simply to provide a safe, structured youth program that your kids can enjoy during the summer months, all while being more active.

Details of the CARA Summer Program 2022

 Registration Information

  •  In-person registration will be held at the EEC main lobby starting Thursday, June 9th  at 7:00pm-9:00pm.
  • The link for online registration will be posted on Facebook at the same time, Thursday, June 9th at 7:00pm. 
  • Registration fee will be $300. For every additional child in the same family will receive a $50 discount. For example, second child will be $250, third $200, etc.


Highlights

  • This year’s summer program is focused on Healthy Active Living and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle 
  • Families can choose to register for the entire 6-week program
  • Children will be placed into a group of 10 for the duration of the program
  • Program will run for a duration of six (6) weeks. Beginning on July 4th and ending on August 12th.
  • The Program will run 5 days a week from Monday to Friday from 9:00am– 4:00 pm. Accommodations may be made for early drop-off and late pick-up if required, (8:15am and 4:45pm). The drop off and pick up location will be at Clarenville Middle School. 
  • Most activities will be outside. Children are asked to dress appropriately for the weather. 
  • Age group will be grades K-6.
  • As your children will be gone for the full day ensure that they have a packed lunch along with snacks and a beverage. The lunch breaks will be supervised.
  • All electronic devices such as Cell Phones, iPads & Tablets are NOT permitted in the program. This includes participants and camp leaders. 
  • The focus of activities will be cooperative games, arts and crafts, music, and sports.
